Enhanced video processing depending on the kind of box I use ?

by Smagton

Hello there,

I just received a set-top box from my ISP (Bouygues Telecom in France). It runs AndroidTV pretty smoothly. I've been able to configure Live Channels on it with my m3u playlist but the hardware seems to be struggling (it stutters). I've been though noticing that the video quality was far superior to the mi Box Oreo that I'm also using. My mi box doesn't struggle with Live Channels but the video quality seems inferior.

How come does this ISP box have a better "tv feel" than the Mi box ? Is it possible to add this "tv feel" to the Mi Box ?

Thanks.

Edit : typo.

The answer is very likely due to the half motion, deinterlaced picture quality that is output by the Mi Bix when watching TV. Basically it's buggy and needs fixing by AMLogic.
