Nvidia shield network connection lost

by lonelady75

So... I asked a question in this sub about 2 days ago about how to transfer files directly to my android tv box over the network... and it worked! For about a day...

Now, the internal drive of my Shield shows up on my desktop, with a little x through it, and I've restarted both my PC and my Shield, to no avail. Whenever I click on the 'internal' drive of my shield I get popups saying "An error occured while connecting Z: to (//IP/internal) Microsoft Windows network: The local drive name is already in use. This connection has not been restored"

and :"An error occured while reconnecting Z: to (//IP/internal) Microsoft Windows Network: The network path was not found. This connection has not been restored."

Again, I feel like I'm missing something simple, but I'm not sure what.

Thanks in advance!

What this happens to me I usually cycle the setting on my shield that allows the networks transfers followed by rebooting my network, computer, and shield.

Good luck!

Can you ping the IP address of the Shield TV? I have mine mounted as an internal drive in Windows 10 and it shows up fine when I resume my PC from sleep or from a restart.
