If you'd search this sub you'd find the answer. But hold the remote close to the box and press the circle and arrow button at the same time until you hear a beep or it turns on. The remote is connected via Bluetooth, if the connection was continuous it would drain the battery within days.
hold power button, quickly tap either home or back button, those work for me sometimes
this shit happens to me 3 to 4 times a week
I have the android remote app on my phone which I use to re-pair the remote when it loses connection, saves me rebooting
You might have too much 2.5GHz interference that's causing the Bluetooth connection to drop. Try to isolate the mi box away from other 2.5ghz devices and see if that helps.
I've been having the exact same issue. Absolutely identical. I'm going to do the roll back tonight.
It happens to me a lot but I'm lazy so I'm not about to unplug it lol. I press all the buttons and it'll work eventually. Volume up and home together sometimes does the trick!
Change the 2.4 Ghz channel on your wifi to something else. Either 1, 6, or 11. Bluetooth uses the 2.4 Ghz spectrum and can interfere with 2.4 Ghz wifi.
Also if you have smart devices, zigbee uses the 2.4 Ghz spectrum. Z-wave uses 900 Mhz so those are safe.
Toggle on "Stay awake" in the developer options.
It'll take a couple presses spaced a few seconds apart in the morning, but it should turn on.
Keep pushing ok (center) button many times. Always work for me.
Dismissed.....ignored
3 time looooooser:)
Find and flash bugfix build 2179 to restore normal remote function, along with numerous benefits that were negated by latest 2303 OTA build
Try switching out the batteries with new ones. Seems too simple, but it works in many cases.
Also about your edit: it's "losing". I thought auto correct just like messing with me, but guess your in the same boat.
