After the Oreo update and latest patch, when asleep the mi box won't wake up. I have to unplug it to restart it and then there will be no issue with the remote until it goes to sleep again, and the process repeats. I've tried factory resetting but no avail. I've replaced the batteries in the remote. This never happened on the previous os version. Is there anything else I can try?
Yes, I have this since Oreo. It sucks. The solution I have is just unplug it, or keep it always active but I do not think that's a good idea.
Have the same problem. I just double tap the home button to wake it up. 86% of the time it works every time.
I have been having this issue since the update to Oreo. Sometimes I have to reboot the box to get it to work. Apparently it's a known issue but low priority fix. Otherwise everything else seems to be working properly.
Same issue here since upgrading to Oreo. Sometimes pressing the button longer works, but most of the time I have to unplug/replug the power to reboot.

I’ve found that if I put it to sleep with YouTube up it’ll wake up after pressing the home button a few times. If I exit to the home screen and put it to sleep it tends to lock up.

Yup, the Oreo update is pure shit and Xoami gives zero fucks about making it actually work right.
I had this issue and a factory restore fixed it. Hope this helps.
The weird thing is other bt devices can wake up Mi box and TV but remote can't. Then I have to remove battery and remote works again.
I have had this problem too. Since updating to the latest patch, it has been working flawlessly, I only use MiBpxes on TV only setups(kitchen, guest room), so I don't know what new bugs are introduced. I will take some bugs with the power button now working.
Same here. I just disabled sleep. Now its always on.
It's may be caused by some background app, you can try to press home button quickly 5 times or more, and the mibox maybe will be wakeup.
My box got a firmware update last night, this issue seems to be fixed.

Find and flash interim bugfix build 2179 via manual update process.
I'm having the same problem since the last update. Even in the rare cases when it does wake up, it's very laggy, forcing me to restart it. The last update completely screwed up my box.
