CI+ Module keeps showing up when starting TV

by TheSubtitlesAreReal

It's hard to find a good subreddit to ask this on, but since my TV is an Android TV and this subreddit is active, I'll give it a go.

I have a Philips 49PUS6432/12 Android TV and recently got a CI+ Module for it so I don't have to use the old STB. It's working fine but for some reason almost every time I start the TV I get the pop-up message "Common Interface Successfull" and have to OK it every single time.

Is there a way to turn this off?

I'm not familiar with your model. Is there a power saving setting, on anything setting that might control how the TV turns off. Energy saver, quick start, etc.

Maybe switching to a mode that puts the TV to sleep instead of fully turning off would keep your CI+ module powered/initialized...just a guess, good luck!

I think it's the ci interface decrypting the signal. I've had this with my old sony HD TV with an irdeto CAM. Maybe you can change settings in the ci module interface, update the firmware or get another ci+ cam module that doesn't do this..
