Can anybody port the Youtube Vanced app for android tv. The app enables background playback and stops ads. Will be great if it's ported over for TV.
Update: I decided to try Smart YouTube TV again on my Shield in the hopes that their latest version would block ads. It apparently does now. That said, it is still a better option than sideloading YouTube Vanced since the former is designed for an Android TV interface. The only remaining drawbacks are (1) no casting option and (2) no downloading function, both of which YouTube Vanced have.
