That's interesting. Have you tried downloading the apk through other sources besides the play store on the shield? Maybe there's different versions on apk mirror?
I don't understand AndroidTV's lean back/10 ft interface apps not being updated on the regular in this day and age when chromebooks now run Android apps. The UIX should be similar on both platforms.
Obviously it's because a ton of people watch Hulu on 7" screens from across the room. Who would ever watch Hulu from a "TV"? /s
I much prefer the interface on the Shield to the one on my phone and tablet.
What's wrong with the Hulu app on the Shield? I haven't run into any issues.
Hulu has stated no upgrades for Android TV because of market share. So screw them.
