It's a very short term fix. The problem will quickly come back. Been there, done that. Xiaomi is junk. I won't buy another of their devices.

Factory reset can be invoked from settings menu on home screen, for best effect..
I wiped mine too, and it worked for 2 days, I ended up buying a Shield. Now, once again mine won't boot. Good luck.
