I just set up a mibox for the first time. I heard there was an update to Oreo but when I check system it says my system is up to date. Is there any other way to get the update? (installing off a flash drive or something maybe?)

follow pertinent steps as outlined in following post. Ignore steps to flash 2167 and go directly to flash 2179.
Don't neglect to perform full full factory reset before and after flashing 2179

They pulled it cause it was that buggy. 8.1 update is coming with all the fixes hopefully.
