I am planning to get a new 4K UHD TV with AndroidTV OS (Google-certified, not broken versions) which are available from Sony, Sharp, TCL, Toshiba (Skyworth) or Philips.
However, I have a lot of choices but it will be much better if it has wide color gamut and support for various HDR standards (Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HLG, etc.) and sound codecs (Dolby Digital, DTS, etc.).If an app exists, it will definitely help me narrow down my choices.
TCL, Sharp,Skyworth and some manufacturers do not specify support for wide color gamut and HDR standards. I have sent this question to their respective customer support groups and not a single one replied to my question since I assume that they were given basic information.
The appliance stores in my area encourage customers to bring their own USB with video tester files to check video quality and to install APKs (given that they are not games and rooting/exploit tools).
Something like this would have been great before I got mine. My TV is UHD but not HDR and the Netflix app thinks it's HDR leading to weird colors on shows that have HDR streams
Edit: Netflix has test streams in it's app. Maybe you could try those
