Mi Box 3 Wont Boot

Hi all. I was hoping I could get someone to assist. My Mi Box 3 has recently become unresponsive. The other day the device froze and I was forced to pull the power cable to shut down. However, now the device wont boot. The first couple times it would get as far as the logo page but now I cant get anything to display on the screen at all. Ive tried holding "ok" and "back" on my remote when booting but I am unable to get anything to show up on the screen. Changing batteries in the remote, new HDMI cable, and changing TVs all have not had any success. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

My friend had the same issue. At first, it booted to the Android screen.. now it won't get passed the 'mi' screen with the HDMI and dts logo on it. He contacted Xiaomi and the are sending a replacement

Have the same issue with one of my Mi Boxes. Would just sit on the logo screen, now won't even display video.

I have 2 out of 4 MiBoxes doing this. I'm convinced the last Oreo firmware that was pulled is killing them. Of my remaining 2, one is showing some freezing symptoms that preceded the others, but the 4th never had the last Oreo update - just the one before it, and it is working fine.

ok, so this is a thing. Mine started doing that a few weeks ago, it would only go to the Android startup screen and now it won't give any video signal. Going to try support.

Haha two of my three are doing this exactly also. I replaced with shields. But would love to get them r paced. Thanks for the info.

Mine just started doing that as well. Just spent hours trying to update it with no success......

Mine also doesn't boot. It sits at the "Mi" screen. I can, however, get into the bootloader and will be trying to downgrade the firmware ( with a different flash drive than the first time) tonight. I hope that whatever this latest firmware is doing gets fixed soon. It's a shame, you cant come to this subreddit anymore without someone having an issues with their MiBox recently.
