I currently have an X96 Mini. It works well for the most part. I use Kodi and specific purpose apps (i.e. MLBTV, DAZN) etc. mostly with no issues but sometimes I wonder if the hardware and software is not up to par for what I need. Here are the issues I experience:
- The interface is not that good - locked in apps on the main screen and I can't paste my favourite apps to the main screen;
- I can almost never stream from the internet - lags too much and freezes;
- Outdated look of interface;
- Doesn't appear to be 5G compatible;
- Constantly slow and laggy despite only using about 60% of the available memory
I am looking to purchase a new box but I'm not an expert on android boxes and would like some suggestions on which would be good for me.
I want a box that has a lot of processing power. Where I can download a lot of apps and run several simultaneously. I also would like for the box to be small (unlike the shield) but I can compromise on that. Preferrably I'd like to get a droid box that has a modern interface where I can customize the apps shown.

What you want is a real AndroidTV box, not one of those Cheap Chinese TV Boxes (TM). Get the SHIELD, and live with the (very) slightly larger size.
