Just bought a Mi Box for $39 from WM

by mcom13

Should I keep it? Is it worth it?

Why would you buy something if you are not certain that you want it?

not a popular opinion.. but never had issues if mine.. i used for fullhd for over a year, and now with 4k and still no issues.. but hey.. it seens like a lottery,

I've had mine for a year, very happy with it.

PalebloodSky

I've had mine for about 3 years since launch. It's happily running the latest Oreo update and everything works well. Yea I recommend it, especially for the money.

I still have one TV without a media box. Was using the smart features for plex and Amazon prime only. Might have to go out and get one more at that price. $40 for that box is worth it even with all the problems.

battierpeeler

it's a very good player for almost everyone on 6.0.

it's a very good player for the majority of users on 8.0 but more complaints with wifi disconnects. it's a risk to upgrade with minimal gains.

Arthall111

Been using mine for a year with no problem. Js

I have MiBox on 8.0 and it has really worked fine. I have a shield in main room but the mibox works great in bedroom, mainly for Plex, Kodi and Youtube

Next price drop is to $33 for locations with greater than 2 units in stock......

I dunno, why don't you open it up and use it to decide for yourself? Walmart does actually have a return policy.

BiggussDikkuss

Refund it and get a Jetstream Ultra 4K because it has more stable v8.1 Firmware and much better connectivity.

piiggggg

If your mi box still on Android 6.0, yeah you should.

GreatScottTX

Flip it on eBay for a $20 profit

jamescober2004

I've had 3 die on me over the past month, completely unresponsive, take it back.

monkeyismine

So you like to gamble, huh?

crisberee

I like mine, I highly recommend keeping it on 6 and blocking the update. Here is a good guide on how to block it. You can always unblock it in the future if you want to update it.
