I was able to get the Amazon App Store loaded, and it displays sideways and I had to use a wireless keyboard/trackpad to login on my Mi Box, but that worked. Unfortunately, with or without the App Store installed, the Hulu app just closes instantly. I'm on Android 8.0.0, build 2167 on the Mi Box. I also tried the suggestion of trying to find the Hulu app in the Amazon store and install it from there so that it shows that I "own" the app, but the Hulu app doesn't show up when I search for it.

Someone in that thread mentioned using something called "Lucky Patcher" that can remove the Amazon dependency entirely from an APK with around 50% success rates, I might try that next.

This is ridiculous. Get with it Hulu, it wouldn't take a huge modification of your FireTV app to get it to work on the AndroidTV platform. I'd really like to be able to utilize profiles on my Mi Box and Nexus Player AndroidTV devices.

Let me know if it works because the Android TV version sucks.

I tried downloading the Amazon app store and logging in didn't work I tried lucky patcher didn't work either

So annoying that a fork of AndroidTV (FireTV) is getting any app updates before official AndroidTV.

I don't hate the Amazon hardware, but the FireTV launcher is atrocious.
