New Mi Box S with no Live Channels

by AsteroidCosmic

I realized this the moment I got my Mi Box S a few days ago. I am very surprised nobody posted it here before though. Am I the only one who is surprised that the Mi Box S has a Live TV button but no Live Channels App? Seems kind of weird to me.

Also, I have this problem where when I turn off my TV with the Mi Box remote, it will turn off, but after a few seconds, the TV will start back up. Is there any solution to this?

Try installing an app that feeds to live channels, like TVirl or PlutoTV etc.

The Live Channels app only starts showing after you install a compatible source app.

Some apps that you can install to activate the Live Channels app are TVirl (you need to get your own URL with channels) or Bloomberg TV.

One thing I'm frustrated with is my Hauppage tuner that worked fine on my Nexus Player doesn't work on my Mi Box S.

It recognized it at first but threw an error when I tried to use Live Channels, and then after that it just refuses to even recognize it.

On your TV go settings system and look for CEC control other devices make sure that is selected everything is selected like 1-touch play and 'System standby'.

Mi Box S SETTINGS GO TO HDMI CEC MAKE SURE ALL SETTINGS ARE ON cec switch, one key play, one key power off.

Try restarting. Fixed that issue for me. The MiBox S does have live channels.
