Using Button Mapper or some other android app to assign a TV Input button on a HTPC Keyboard

by Windytrader

Hello!

I have been on a mission to create a keyboard and mouse setup for my HTPC that will also full control my smart TV as well. It is going well, but I am stuck on a few last details.

A summary so far:

I am using a Logitech K850 and M720 combo that is pair to 2 separate unifying receivers, one for the pc, one for the tv (sony xbr75x850e, runs on android TV). It's a great set up, but the only thing I am missing is an input button to 1 button/click switch to my pc on HDMI1. That has led me to Button Mapper, which looks like it can do exactly what I want, except it does not have an option to assign a source/input key, or an HDMI1 shortcut. I hoped it would have an option to basically "copy" the function of the input button on the remote and assign it to my keyboard, but could not find such a feature. Would anybody know of a particular type of software that would allow me to do this?

Thanks!

I've been looking for a remapping software to use with a cheap Chinese remote with my Shield, and happened across this. It may suit your purposes, but I haven't tried it out yet myself.
