Xiaomi mi box 3 Ethernet issues

Hello,

So I have 2 exact same Xiaomi mi box 3 (mdz-16-ab) devices both running same Android version 8.

I've got 2 pieces of the same usb to Ethernet adapter for both of them.

One of the adapters works for both devices, and the second doesn't work for both of them.

I thought that the second one is broken but tested it on my PC and it works just fine.

When connecting the working adapter to the box, the LINK led is constantly on and the ACT led is blinking, while plugging the second (not working) adapter both the LINK and the ACT leds are constantly on.

Can any1 assist??

My bet is one of them had a different Chipset used internally and the Mi Box's Firmware simply does not like it.

There are wake from sleep issues with Ethernet adapters with Mi Box Oreo 8.0 Firmware too. Basically it's a clusterfuck !
