Hi, i just ordered my mibox and it should arrive in the next few days. i've seen alot of complaints about bugs and issues coming from users that are on latest builds. now, i am worried to upgrade it to android 8.0.
Should i just keep it on MM 6 ? Is there a future 8.1 update (since the Mibox s is here)?

so I bought a device from gearbest, as soon as I received it I updated. After the update, I start seeing issues with the remote and with Netflix errors. I bought a second device it's on very 6 and xiaomi stopped the update its working fine but the ui Is ugly and outdated. Gearbest credited my account for the device . Because of all the bugs, I think the update to Oreo isn't even available atm. Maybe in a few days/weeks a proper update will be made available.
Check the box and see if it runs acceptably for a week or 2. If you are satisfied, DO NOT upgrade.
If it is buggy with MM 6, then i guess you have nothing to lose.
Anyway you will have to update manually
If you lack a sense of adventure, only update to latest MM 6 build 1901
Your machine will come with outdated version 699.
