Since the firmware update I recibed a few months ago (to android 7) in my Sony 50w800, I can't play videos on Youtube and Netflix, the sound starts but screen is freezed. I did a factory reset, clear data and cache of both apps, but nothing. I installed an older version of netflix but nothing either
Any idea?
Sell your TV.
I had a Sony "rep" (apparently the German support team is in Egypt, seems logical) which told me "all our Android TV's are slow and have problems, this isn't a problem, it's normal".
Rest of the story is great too ! My TV is slow as heck, they told me they can't handle it, my seller has to, problem is the seller has closed his business months ago. Sony's Answer : is there something else we can help you with ? I explained calmly that I would sell this TV, get a new one and raise awareness about their horrible practices and products as much as possible. Sony's Answer : Good day sir.
If I had this attitude in my business, I would live under a bridge.
Sony has lost all respect I had for them, don't expect anything from them.
