Is this still part of the beta?
Using different kernel on MiBox3 and MiboxS is really strange to me. Both are using the same chipset, so they would need to use the same fixes for both boxes. Only wifi differs hardwarevise and i guess / hope that is not hardcoded to specific kernel subversion.
Voice command is working perfectly like the marshmallow build
Just applied OTA 2396. Wireless problems are gone for now. Network and internet speed is improved. I was not able to connect using android tv app on my phone after updating to oreo; now fixed. HDMI CEC was not working before on my LG TV, now ok. Netflix was starting choppy, now loading faster and initial picture quality is way better than before. So far having noticed wake up problems (but I was experiencing that one after keeping it sleep mode about half day or so). Will see in a few days if it's fixed or not.

Is the mibox supposed to have Google assistant? Previous to the update the "voice search" only searched videos on YouTube

I've just received the update too. I'm not on beta, so this is for everyone. 94.4MB, same changelog.
My main issue that I am having (I have not updated yet to latest patch) is that video is choppy when it comes out of sleep. Even just moving left to right is a little slow. Is this fixed?
Youtube seems to work better, not freezing withe every resolution change on videos as before.

hi guys, just got my mibox3 today and it is at 6.0 but I can receive any OTA update even I manually checked for update. Is it a mass OTA or rolling out by batch?
Does anyone know if this update can be rolled back to 2167 or 2179 like in the guide by /u/koshergoy ?
it does recognize automatically - finally - the resolution of my monitor

Which build you were on before?
Anybody have/knows where to get the full update zip file? I'm on build 2167 and when I want to update to today's build the update freezes in the first third :(
I tried sniffing the OTA URL with adb but couldn't get any reference to an URL or file... Is it downloaded "invisibly?" I can see where it starts downloading and all the "progress" in the logcat though...
The update.zip is stored in /cache, but I can't access the folder without root...
Anyone has any ideas? Although it's downloaded now already, I guess I could boot into recovery and wipe cache to try again?
I'm on 6.0.1 build 699. My minbox 3 says it's upto date. How do I get this update?

Ok so right before update i did factory data reset. Because i was having problems like missing shortcuts on home screen when you press back tho remove or move tiles. And live was messed up. But after F.D.R. everything works fine. So then im feeling good after all this time(f.up months now). And see update on here 2 min later, so i go for it an sure enough it happened it again.
So do full F.D.R. after update. To fix and clean out old files...
Updated both of my Mi Box's and so far both are working just like before. No issues to report. I didn't do much testing though. It does seem faster to respond.
Now lets get the 8.1 patch out there and I'll be happy!
Just updated for my sleeping S.O; other than it trying to replace SwiftKey with Gboard as the default keyboard, not much difference in performance, tho the Security Patch is now 'current'
I know it's not on the changelog but anyone knows if it's fix the return from sleep problem ? It will be a massive improvement IMHO.
Even after a factory reset, my Mibox when sleeping for a long time won't turn on with the remote controler. I need to unplug and plug again the AC adaptator.
I did this update this morning. Don't test the Wifi as I have been using USB-to-Ethernet since ages now.
I tried. Netflix is still laggy AF. Still unusable (in 1080p)

I bought my Mi Box a month or so ago and I'm running the latest MM build that came with it. I checked for updates tonight and the Oreo update is available. It's 69x MB.
Just confirmation for those of use that bot our boxes after they stopped the Oreo updates because all of the issues. This latest updates is available for everyone.
My Wi-Fi was performing really badly the previous time. And then they fixed it perfectly. And now with this update my Wi-Fi is terrible again. Anyone else experience the same or have any ideas how I could fix this myself?

I'm just now in the process of updating it. Hope this will make the system run more stable. Will update here if frame rate switching is now supported
Edit: Tested it a bit, Netflix works better no with no audio drops over Dolby+ to my AVR, Atmos is working in Kodi but sadly no framerate switching yet. I have also tested Wifi which seams to work much better now.
