I've had a chance to get in front of it, I turned on unit I'm bedroom and there was a message of a failed update. so the attempt to update and the CEC turned on.
I'm going to go with that for now and see if anything happens again at all and I can report back.

Did the S get the update that the non-S got today? Could have been auto update on box that caused TV to turn on via CEC during reboot
