Got a new Android TV (Skyworth 55" 4K) it asks are you still watching ... how to disable.

by oohhhhcanada

Hi, My new Android TV is great, love Youtube and Youtube TV, but it asks after a while if I'm still watching. Is there a way to disable this? It is an Android TV 7 made by Skyworth. We like to leave the set running overnight while sleeping. Any constructive help is appreciated, we have unlimited data and are not worried about data use.

I'd say it's either a TV setting for sleep timers or within certain apps like YouTube on the TV for sleep settings.

I know Netflix has a message just like this. Have you noticed this message appears outside of the Netflix app?

That is built in to YTTV and is not adjustable or able to be turned off. There are many posts on YTTV reddit about this. I can't sleep without background noise so I installed Pluto tv to play through the night as it doesn't have a timer. HTH

Agree. Have a quick read through the manual. I have a new Android 7 4K Sinotec (company owned by skyworth) and the manual was actually quite detailed. Solved a few small issues I had.

Especially with how to pair the Bluetooth remote after the kids removed it from Bluetooth devices lol.

Isnt this a restriction by YouTube? It does this in a regular browser aswell. I had premium on trial and then it never stopped.
