Something about Lon annoys me. But he is very knowledgeable and to the point. I bought one of these S boxes and used it for a week before returning it to Walmart. I already have an older MiBox as well as a Shield. The improvement was very minimal, so I just went back to the original MiBox. After a software update a couple days ago the only issues I had seem to have been corrected...wouldn't power on with remote from sleep and wifi appears better. To each his own, but I believe the MiBox a very capable box for an office or bedroom. Mine is well over a year old and has always worked even though I sometimes had to pull power cable to get it to come on..seems corrected now. Lon mentioned no Prime Video but I know I have side loaded on old MiBox and it works fine...would assume it could probably be done with new version too.

I use the first Mi Box. Would it be wise to upgrade to this one? Or the shield? I only watch movies, animes, and TV shows with my box, is the shield too much for my usage?
he said it's supposed to work with external tuners, is that usb tuners? If so, I haven't read of anyone having success with that.
What a ridiculous review. Its not a capable game device he said. Of course its not. Who buys a media player for unofficial game emulation of previous consoles? On user said here Lon makes reviews with features people care, haha. An average user of $50 media player cares for emulation? Mi box 3 is solid from performance stand point. So I expect mi box 4. Buy the overpriced Shield TV.
