Hello, I just purchased two new Xiaomi Mi Box S devices for use with YouTube TV. Previously I was using an Asus Nexus Player. On the Nexus Player, all channels work at 60fps whether they are 720p or 1080p. But on the new Mi Box S, all channels are only 30fps on both 720p or 1080p. I've seen conflicting reports from YouTube TV users with the original Mi Box (Mi Box 3). Some say they get 60fps while others say they only get 30fps. Can anyone here confirm if the original Mi Box is capable of 60fps in YouTube TV? Just to be clear, I am referring to YouTube TV, the live TV streaming service, NOT the regular YouTube app. I am hoping that if someone can confirm the original Mi Box can do 60fps, that YouTube TV can just push an update to allow the Mi Box S to stream at 60fps. After all, the Mi Box S is essentially almost the exact same hardware as the original Mi Box. Thanks in advance for you help!
What I heard is that the older Mi Box's only did 30fps until they were whitelisted for 60fps playback by YTTV. If that's true, you'd think the S will get 60fps support before too long.
