Does LiveChannels still have DVR features?

by Anon_8675309

I have a HDHomeRun duo and trying to find the dvr features of LiveChannels but failing. It finds the HDHomeRun tuner but I don’t see any mention of dvr anywhere.

Using a shield tv all up to date.

Gave up on live channels, very flakey. Ended up biting the bullet, getting Channels

https://getchannels.com/features/

Much more reliable, and better support.

If you have the official silicon dust app installed, remove it. Reboot. Launch Live Channels, go into Settings, then Channel sources and add the "Network TV Tuner (BETA)". It might ask for your zip code, then service (cable or antenna). Then "Customize channel list". At this point, go to the Channel Guide in Live Channels, select a show an hour from now and it will tell you that you need at least 50gb of storage to record.

Insert empty USB flash drive, have AndroidTV format it and transfer files to it. Reboot. Live Channels should now start letting you record shows.

EDIT: Using a MiBox (MIBOX3) running Android 8.0

Are you using the HDHomeRun app as the source, or are you using Google's own network tuner service as a source? Live Channels DVR only works with the Network Tuner from Google.
