Horrible Spotify lag on latest Mi Box update

Hello everyone!

So, the latest update fixed pretty much every issue I had with my Mi Box, but what I noticed not so long ago started to worry me again. Basically, whenever I try to listen to Spotify, the sound is all stuttery and lagged, as if there was an Internet connection lag, but the thing is YouTube and Netflix works just fine. What's more, when I try to do anything with Spotify in background, the whole box is so horribly lagged that it's hard to do anything at all. Is it Xiaomi fault or the app? Anyone experienced that issue and knows what to do with this?

For me it's all fine. I'm on Ethernet connection.

Perhaps we have the same problem. My MiBox is connected to my TV with HDMI but also connect to a soundbar with the 3.5 Aux. I use spotify connect from my phone to play music directly to the soundbar when the TV is off. But since oreo it just won't work smoothly anymore. The music starts to stutter and then the whole box would just freeze. If I turn on the TV at that moment, I can see that the box tried to readjust its resolution somehow as the screensaver would just be a small part of the screen not full screen. At that point the box needs to be unplugged because it won't respond anymore.

Tried factory reset countless times and after every update but Spotify still has the same problem
