Wanting to get a new Android box that runs Android TV os and I found these two that seem good. Has anyone had either of them and could tell me the pros and cons and overall which one to get? I'll be using it with Ethernet so wifi isn't a big deal and I just use it for streaming.

None of the devices mentioned so far in this thread are Google Certified, so that means you get no Android TV Chromecasting support at all.
The ABOX A4 has broken 1080p Android TV Netflix streaming. (Netflix had a recent crackdown on uncertified devices).
If you are in the USA go out and get a Google certified, Netflix Approved Jetstream 4K Ultra.
Buy the Jetstream or Shield. The other devices are crap. Either hacked Android TV, or no 4k Netflix support. You’ll regret buying anything else if you use ethernet.
If you are using such devices for Kodi, well they make fine LibreELEC or CoreELEC Kodi devices because you can dual boot 'Em
