First of all i don't have the budget for nivida shield so please tell what would be best from the following options since Black friday deals are up.

Requirements I don't have the internet to support 4k streaming & my budget is 50$. Need something to last long.

Mibox S

Mi box 3

Roku (Whatever Verison is best)

Firestick (Whatever Verison is best)

Chromecast 3rd gen

Nobody can give a good recomendation, if you don`t specify what you want to do with the box / stick?

You only want to stream a few standard services like Amazon and Netflix? Then Fire Stick will work for you.

You want to use Kodi as your main streaming app - then Fire Stick works, but be prepared for a laggy experience. Since the Shield is not within your budget, Mi Box 3 would already be better suited.

You also want to watch IPTV, then better go for Android TV (Mi Box 3), since you find plenty of decent apps there like Perfect Player, Smart IPTV or IPTV Extreme.

You can certainly install all of the above with sideloading on the Fire Stick, but if you prefer the convenience of Playstore updating all these apps vs. sideloading, then Android TV makes more sense (which also doubles up as a Chromecast). So based on the different scenarios, pick your weapon :-)

Fire TV Stick 4K is $35 on Black Friday:

Best bang for the buck media player on the market at the moment:

Superior hardware vs the cheap Android TV devices, the included remote is excellent:

IF you can put up with the in your face "Amazon" focused pushy user interface.

Otherwise look at the Jetstream 4K Ultra HD.

Whatever you do, do not go for the Xiaomi Miboxes eventually they will ruin the software and leave you with a dud, case and point:

I'm waiting on the Nvidia Shield and will be selling the two "Mibox 3" I have.

I have 3 Chromecasts (2nd Gen) also and they work great, but no 5.1 sound, so not a good choice if you have a receiver and want any kind of Dolby or whatever. They do stream most anything that you cast to them (no mkv support with 5.1 sound without jumping hoops to do it).

Roku sticks, I wouldn't go there because they have poor proprietary software, flimsy hardware, so updates may just stop at any moment. The Roku boxes with Android, don't know, but again ... from what I gather they have very modified versions of Android that may just stop being updated at any point (someone can check me on this, not sure).

Amazon, I haven't tried it, but for me, (I live in Portugal) the content offer from Amazon is sparse, at best.

I would just spend a bit more and get a device that lasts a bit longer and does more - Nvidia.

Having a remote is practical and having the assistant is a plus. Sure you can ask Google Home/ Google Assistant to cast to the Chromecast ... but not the same.

Android boxes with regular Android ... no, hate the experience. Having to have a remote and a wireless keyboard or some kind of mouse or mouse pad, NO! Android TV is much better if you just want to sit, relax and watch a movie or TV series.

That's my 2cents ...

Firestick anyday.

And bdw, Amazon is having deals running on both the Firestick first gen at $24.99 (usually $39.99) and the new Firestick 4K at $34.99 (usually $49.99)

I found the deals on this website in the Amazon Devices category.

Hope it clears your query.
