Philips 65PUS7803 vs LG 65UK6100PLB

by Dixcit

Hey everybody,

I am having a Black Friday struggle. I am looking to by my first 4K TV and through all the offers I found it comes down to those 2:
Philips 65PUS7803
LG 65UK6100PLB

The philips cost 799€ and the LG cost 699€, they are both 65''. So I was wondering which one is best, considering that the philips is originally way more expensive (1400€-1500€) compared to the LG (879€) I would imagine the philips is better but I don't know much about TV brands and quality.
Is the Philips worth the 100€ more ?

Thanks for your help.

Omg, Philips 65PUS7803 for 800€...
I have bought few month ago the 55PUS7503 for 700€.
The ambilight system is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G, seriously, you should try that one !

I can't really comment on the LG but I've had a Philips 49PUS6401 for the past 2 years and it's been a pretty solid Android TV experience, I've not had any freezing issues that I've heard of with other brands.

My only gripe with it is the wifi is pretty poor and barely gets a signal with the router in the same room and the only Google home integration is that you can tell it to play YouTube videos but they have said that app functionality with GH will get better with firmware updates of which it normally gets a couple a year.

I have the Phillips 55in version and it is great. Ambilight is great, Picture quality is great and android has never crashed in the 18 months i have had it. Just install aptoide tv when you get it to get access to all of the good apps as the play store is quite restricted on all Android tv's.

I recommend Philips cus it runs Android so you can lots off aps. It also has ambilight and is slightly cheaper I think.
