Ridiculous levels of input lag

by Gr3nwr35stlr

Just got a (yes relatively cheap) 4k TV on Black Friday, this one , and the picture looks good enough, but when I plug anything into it with HDMI (games, computer, etv), I get ridiculous levels of input lag, somewhere between 200 and 300ms. I know some input lag is normal, but that is just ridiculous. I literally get less input lag from my Elgato HD60s capture card. Using the remote in actual AndroidTV mode is actually really snappy surprisingly, seeing most smart TV remotes these days usually have obscene input lag themselves, so I am wondering if anyone has some tips for fixing this issue?

switch your TV mode to GAME instead of theater or whatever else. helped me!

Try to reset it after updating it..worked for me!

If you never figured it out, just turn off MEMC in the settings, it'll fix it.

Welcome to the current world of built android tv. Not even the expensive Sony android tv's run great. You have to side load an apk that can kill tasks on boot. Kill most services you won't use. Your OS can kill / end some tasks but, some may come back. I use this called "all in one toolbox". Good luck!
