I have had this issue for 2 months now. On a Nvidia Shield and won't work. Very frustrating.
Hmm. Yesterday I tried to sign into Vudo and kept getting a password wrong error. Reset it twice and still couldn't get in. Samsung S9+ and Xbox One worked fine.
Had this issue for days now. Tired everything I could think of.
Unfortunately this has been happening to me for over a month. I emailed their support but it was pretty much ignored. Hopefully others will echo in and they will fix the issue.
I've been having this problem for a few weeks now as well... works on my Roku's, but not on my Shield TV. I'm assuming either the Shield generates the code and it isn't making it to HGTV (therefore code not found), or HGTV generates the code and has a bug on their side specific to android tv. Because, again, it works for other devices. Very frustrating, and how can they not have fixed it? Wouldn't there be a lot of people having this issue?

Same is happening here. I tried with 2 different providers and got 'Not Found' with both. Deleting and reinstalling app didn't correct the problem.
I just attempted this on my Google TV today for both the FoodNetwork app and Cooking Channel app and got the same result so it still appears broken. I submitted a question to the Food Network App support to help give this issue a voice. Will update if/when I get a response.
Same problem here, I used a work around with comcast. I log into my provider on my phone then use the following link, replacing 'yourcode' with the code on the device (with caps). If you have something other than Comcast you probably need to change the part of the link with Comcast SSO to something else...
Dunno if th will work for you, but what I did was:
In the HGTV app I went to settings and clicked "Sign in" to generate a new code (dont think this step is necessary however). When I visited watch.hgtv.com/activate I made sure I turned on CAPS LOCK (even though entering the code with it off resulted in uppercase characters). That seemed to work.
Same thing happening to me. HGTV, FootNetwork, HBOGO is doing it as well. I also put in a help ticket with food network. I will report back if I hear anything. If anyone else hears any response back from the providers let us know. Thanks.

This is happening for me as well on my Sony TV. Can't believe it's going this long without being fixed.
Same problem in for me with Discovery and Spectrum . This has been the case for over 3 months . I keep emailing Discovery but no resolution yet.

After not working all week this finally worked for me tonight with FoodNetwork on my Shield TV.
Wow 4 months ago and I tried this today and same damn BULLSHIT. I swear to god Comcast/Xfinity are the worst company EVER.
