I own 3 of these, one has no video output all of a sudden and doesnt respond to controller. Light on front illuminates at power on but does nothing else.
Any options here? I held ok and back at power on but that also did nothing I think it's done.

my mi box died recently the same way, if you are good with a soldering iron and have a TLL adapter you an open the mi box and solder to it and view the bootloader. i think the emmc chip on mine either died or got erased?
+1 to everyone's respnce (next is from another post I just did)
Just bought shield the other day since the mibox died.
So far so good. I like using the Google assistant since it now mixed in with the other others Google speakers around the house.
Not a gamer (last system was a sega) but I've started playing racing games with my 7 year old
Speed with plex and over all interface with the box is awesome. Oreo feels a little cluttered compared to my apple tv but I prefer android tv.
I like the remotes IR power option for the tv and receivers it works with my Panasonic TV but not with my Onkyo. A. Kind of mad that it didn't support IR Since Don what I read that the "pro" does. I like the family to use the harmony remote. B. volume slider on the remote and game Pad is nice
Since I don't play games, I've started to look more and more at the games that are offered that are not Android (geforce now / steam). I just can't pull myself to spend a ton of money on titles. I am trying to find games that may have demos but no luck yet.
All in all the box is a great purchase. Will I use it to the fullest? You bet! Only turn off i have is how darn expensive the non android games are.
Both of our MiBox 3's were trashed by Xiaomi's update (I presume) three weeks ago. One of them stopped at the splash screen and the other, like yours, output nothing. The one that stopped at the splash screen I was able to recover. The other's on its way back to Xiaomi under warranty.
If it's still under warranty then contact Xiaomi. Chat works best, IME, but you'll have to create an account to use it.
I had the exact same thing happen to me, my TV just says no signal my Mibox is kaput.
