Has anyone gotten the Steam controller to pair via Bluetooth to the Mi box? I've updated the firmware on my steam controller so it supports Bluetooth le and the controller will pair with my phone, but when trying to connect it to the Mi box after a few seconds the mi box says "cannot pair", exits pairing mode, and the controller shuts off too.
If anyone has had any luck, are there any special tricks to it? Rebooting the mi box did not help.
How many times you try it? I had to try it like 5 or so times with xbox one controller. But now it's paired and good to go. Kept getting same msg as you. But eventually it worked.
Paired the SC ok to my mibox 3, if that helps.. Have to hold the two buttons to initiate pairing in the SC.
After playing around with it further I can definitely confirm the issue is on the mibox side. The controller actually connects for a split second and I can even move the mouse but within that split second the mibox disconnects and doesn't save the Bluetooth connection so I cannot just reconnect. I have to start pairing all over and the same thing continues to happen.
Try it a few more times, for some reason it doesn't connect on the first try
Also stuck in the situation. I have Mibox 4 tried pairing 20X with no luck
So have you guys managed to connect it to mi box S?
I managed to connect two Steam Controllers to my Mi Box 3 using an app called Bluetooth Pair . It's not Android TV compatible so you'd need to sideload it. I used the version from Aptoide TV here .
It's somewhat hard to navigate the app with the remote so I used a USB mouse.
You won't be able to control the Mi Box with the controller but Steam Link will detect it anyway.
