how much commercial time during a 30 minute show? over the air is i think 8.
This is a fantastic deal. Hulu has a lot of great stuff, and the commercials aren’t bad cause they tell you how long the ad break is going to be, so I go make tea, start the laundry, etc. $12 a year to have all Seinfeld, Handmaids Tale, Brooklyn nine nine backlog. Easily worth it. Star Trek too if you don’t already have Netflix or Prime.
Broadcast TV with ads is $0/year and I still don't watch it. I only have 2 eyes and Netflix already plenty fills them.
This is a really great price, but I have a really hard time supporting a service that has a monthly fee AND is ad supported. I don't want to legitimize this business model because I'm afraid other streaming providers will get greedy thinking that this is acceptable.
