I own Mi Box 3, worth an upgrade? I tried searching for comparisons but nothing compelling.
I have it's predecessor from Wal-Mart, the original US model Mi Box. My only complaint is it falls asleep and doesn't wake up. I have to pull the cord to reboot it.
Does this newer model have the same problem? Are there any solution's which might fix this? I had hoped it would be resolved in a software update, but it hasn't.

Have both the Shield TV and Mi Box. Considering how much better the remote is than Shield TV, this is a great deal.
Yes I've tried that before on my Nexus player before it died. Despite having chrome sideloaded it didn't always pull up tht browser. It was really random.
Does the Mibox S have the same sleep problem as the Mibox 3 Oreo?
I recommend the H96 Max plus from banggood. It comes with free pirated software XD and pre rooted. And stock NTFS drivers.
Are they able to login to WiFi that requires a browser login? Like at a hotel? My old Asus Nexus player seemingly randomly pulled up a browser window for this but not consistently even if I had browsers installed. It's one reason why we have a Roku in our RV and why I travel with one instead of using a Chromecast and travel router.
