Mi box 3 bad connection after oreo update

So up to now my mi box eorked fine. Today i noticed it have been updated and since than i have a terrible connection. It use to work. The internet connection and speed through laptop is good. But playing videos on the box is just bad.

How can i fix it without downgrading?

update: i might found a mix of stuff that made it work! i disabled wifi scanning(through setting, wifi, at the bottom), changed my routher to channel 6 and reboot the router and the box(still using 2.4ghz) now i have downspeed of 34mb. woohoo!!

Is your router on channel 10 or higher for 2.4ghz mi box doesn't like those channels

is Mi Box 3 the same as Mi Box S ?

The newest update fixed this issue for many people including me. Are you on the lastest the update button is kinda buggy so click it multiple times. If not you can get a free replacement if it is less than 1 yr old.

Actually Android tv oreo by Google has really some wifi issues, even for Nvidia shield this issue exist in the early oreo build.. Maybe it'll be stable in Android Pie :(

The one rule I always follow is to factory reset after every update, read somewhere in this sub that it fixes most of the little bugs in Oreo.

Me too. Very bad connection, i try factory reset but nothing change.

In this way it is useless, max speed is 10-12 Mbps, it's impossible watch movie with Plex/Kodi.

Came home, saw my mibox updated to Oreo... Was thrilled, but then realized same issue... Wifi is junk.... literally can't watch a hour long show without buffers.... Back to wired USB dongle connection for this guy!
