mi boxes - differences, faq, etc.

I am noticing that there are several versions now of the Xiaomi Mi Box. This surprised me. The android.com page on AndroidTV only lists the original (?) and the "S". I own the original, got it the day it was released at Walmart in 2016.

Is there a FAQ or comparison list somewhere that describes the differences between the Mi Box (original) vs. the 2, 3, and 4? I have found descriptions online of the Mi Box S compared to the OG 2016 model, but nothing about what I see here in this sub referred to by a number (e.g. Mi Box 3 or Mi Box 4). What are those? What are the differences? Where are they available for purchase? I'm thinking they might be OUS only (outside USA)?

What we call the original "MiBox" from 2016, released at first with Android 6.0.1, is actually the MiBox 3 International version (MDZ-16-AB).

Then there's the new "MiBox S", which is actually the MiBox 4 International version (MDZ-22-AB).

All other versions of MiBox are Chinese only, thus don't support Google and have no DRM needed for Netflix, Amazon Prime, etc... So they stayed in China and are irrelevant.
