Hotspot is only useful if you have a sim card and want to share the internet from SIM card (on your phone) to a wifi network. Since MiBox has no slot for a SIM, it makes no sense for Mibox to have a hotspot option.
But, if you want to connect to a hotspot from your mobile phone, you can connect it through wifi settings on the Mibox just as you would any regular wifi network.
Consider a TP-Link or NetGear router.
I get what you want... But I would recommend just buying a small cheap wifi accesspoint.. plug the long cable into it instead of to the mibox directly... Plug an Ethernet cord from the App to the mibox... You will have a wired connection to the mibox and wifi available via the accesspoint... The wifi will be much better than any hotspot the mibox could provide even if you managed to get it working..
