Any IPTV Client for AndroidTV with Multi users support?

by mrguestx

Hello

Currently I'm using " Perfect Player" from Google Store, so far it's Perfect but I want to use it with my family and everyone want to create his own playlist (aka favorites channels), is there any Android TV app that can do this?

I want each one in the family to browse all channels and add his favorite channels in his own list so he can play them without going over all the channels.

it's strange for me that nothing in google store can do this simple job.

Any advice?

Try TiviMate:

With this app, you can add the same m3u-playlist twice (and more times) with different names and set favorite channels independently for each of them.

I'm using TVirl from the play store to populate the stock Sony channels and use the discover favorites bar to break the guide into 4 setups. Are u on a Sony TV? I suspect Google live TV can also do multiple favorites lists, TVirl is great to get iptv integrated into Android tv

Create a new Android user and everything will reflect their preferences

You could mess with something like iptv-epg and just make a group for each family member. From that, you can use an IPTV app that supports categories/groups and each member can access their filtered channels from their group. You'll need to clone and merge M3U to get each channel for each family member.

In short, use iptv-epg, but instead of groups like 'Sports', 'UK', 'US'...your groups will be each family member.

This will probably make EPG updates a little 'heavy' but should still work.

This all depends on your provider, but since youre using perfect player, i will assume its an IPTV provider who provides you with an m3u? If the channels are different per user, you could use the group management in PP, and make seperate groups. the downfall of this, is that PP to the best of my knowledge, does not allow a single channel to be in more than one group.

best way to do it would be, register an account at xtream-editor.com . load your m3u into it. You can create custom groups, and name them whatever you want. you can then go through the other groups and COPY channels into other groups. this way you can have duplicates. Once done with the organization, xtream-codes gives you a link to use instead of the m3u you have, and plug that into PP. then you should have different groups, with your selected channels in each.. not quite users, but hopefully the same ffect
