Amazon Prime Video App Does Not Appear In "Customize channels" Section On My Shield TV

by danrvm

I have multiple Shield TV and while the Amazon Prime Video app appears on the "Customize channels" section of all of them I have one Shield TV where it does not. It is in my listing of apps and I can add it to my Favorites row but cannot add the channel as a row on my main screen. I've tried removing updates, cache, data, and disabling and re-enabling it (it is not possible to uninstall it the conventional way) but it still fails to appear as an option under "Customize channels." I verified the version is the same as the app on my other Shield TV's. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Doesn't on my two either... no idea why but its annoying. Not sure why its taking so long to add these to the home screen. Annoying to say the least. Let me know if you figure it out. Where are you located?

This utility help, it lets you manually create channel rows and add whatever apps you want: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dxidev.sideload.channel.launcher

Does this app have problems in general? It takes around 2 full minutes to open on my Shield, which basically means I still use a Fire TV to watch their content.

Both my two Shields are brand new and neither have the channel option for prime video either. Didn't know some had it, would be nice to get it added.

I have the same issue. The channel appears and works perfectly on one shield and doesn't even appear on the other.

I have two shields. Both 2017. Both bought same time same place. One has it. One does not.

Only difference is the make of the TVs and one is hdr one is not lol. Found this googling for a fix :(

nobody has a fix for this eh? Someone on the nvidia forum said he did about a dozen factory resets and it showed up, but thats where i draw the line :P

I own 4 Nvidia Shields, 1 is less than a year old, and they all have the Prime Video row.
