Looking at this review it indicates it is, but I see a lot of people shitting on it for being a Chinese knockoff?

Sounds like Google should provide a list of hardware they have actually certified. I searched a bit but could not find such a list.
They say only boxes that have a "Play Protect" logo on them are certified. Though I doubt that means anything from unknown manufacturers in China. From some manufacturing experience I know they slap whatever logos they want on shit in China.
The brand name alone is suspicious enough for me. I don't buy anything with "Cool" in the name.
tell him post some launcher screenshots ;)
its purely android mobile os xD
It has AndroidTV OS but it is not licensed by Google thus no Chromecast built-in. Also not licensed by either Netflix or Amazon so only SD formats for those. However it is still using the same Play Store as Mibox, Shield etc.
I already had one. It uses real Android TV, access Google Play Store, have a voice activated remote, Level 1 Widevine, can play Youtube at 4K. But just play Netflix in FHD (1080p). It´s fast, responsive, and for use with others videos sources than Netflix (like Kodi), is better than MiBox. But beware! there are TWO models of Pro L, with Voice remote (Android TV) and with "Normal" remote (phone Android), and I don´t recommend the last one.
If it doesn't do Chromecast Built-in, then it's not an official Android TV device.
Nope. The lack of 4k Netflix (while still supporting 1080P Netflix) and the older style "Home" and "Back" buttons on the remote are red flags.
