I've had a bit of a go at trying to get the APK out of the Play Store, but it's clearly locked down to a specific kind of device... It's loaded on the 'Smart VU X' device made by Dish TV, as an Android TV box.
Given my Sony Android TV has better specs it makes sense that the app should be able to be side-loaded into the TV.

I'll see if I can try get it, seems incompatible with most devices, but I noticed that an Android TV emulator I was signed in on showed as compatible so I'll try get it

It's the same Dongle from HiMedia seen a few months ago. It's part of the first batch of Android TV devices working with a lower amont of RAM (1GB), but still doing Netflix and 1080P UI + 4K-HDR for the video.
HiSilicon (for this dongle) and Amlogic have been optimized to work on Android TV with less RAM and with that, reduce the price for OEM and operators.

Anyone know how to get the new app to sideload on a Roku 3 device? Keep getting the "Install Failure: No manifest. Invalid package." message? Would love to get it on a device I already own.
