Sharp 55” Class 4K Ultra HD (55Q7530U) available from Walmart for $349.00 in select markets

If in the market for an affordable 55” 4K Android TV...

I recently bought a Sharp 55” Class 4K Ultra HD (55Q7530U) from Walmart for $349.00. It's not Sony Bravia quality, but considering the cost, I couldn't be happier. Unfortunately, it's only available for in-store purchase in limited markets. If in the market for an affordable 55” 4K Android TV, have a look here to see if one is available at a Walmart near you:

P.S. No, I'm not a shill for Sharp or Walmart. I frequently post in r/Ubuntu. Just posting here to share with those who may be interested.

Fair warning. We have 5 of those out for repair at under 6 months old. Hi sense makes a shoddy fucking TV(work for a custom av integrator)

I'd highly recommend not purchasing televisions (or any large-ticket electronics) from Walmart. They regularly contract with manufacturers to make a Walmart-only line that generally contains lower quality components; this is generally why their prices are lower.

Shhh....only one left in my market and I’m at work.

How do you find the refresh rate on items like this in stores? Just curious in general. I'd love to buy a 4k tv but there's always some info missing about refresh rate and I'm scared it will be like 30fps or something

Has anyone tried to sideload apk to this TV? Unknown source is dimmed. Any success?

I feel that everyone should know that Sharp/Hisense customer service will not respond in a timely manner when you experience an issue.

I bought a TV and immediately experienced an issue when using a sound bar. Specifically I am experiencing an issue when using HDMI ARC to a sound bar that the volume is displayed every 8 seconds. (Not an issue with the sound bar as this sound bar works 100% on my 2 other Sharp TV’s via ARC). I called sharp within hours of buying and setting up the TV. After 3 days of no call back I sent an email. After 2 more days I call again. They finally offered to email me a firmware update 24-48 hours later (this is a Thursday morning). Saturday evening I call for an update and get told Monday...Monday evening I am told it’s “typically” 24-48 hours, I was than asked to wait another 24 hours.

12 days and the issue hasn’t even been attempted to be corrected. They will NOT help in a timely manner if you have an issue.

I will NOT recommend Hisense/Sharp products ever again.

I have had a great experience with my 2 other Sharp TV’s. That I purchased in the last year. The lack of customer support by Hisense is appalling.

Can you give me a little more info on this tV? How bright does it get? (i know this is subjective unless you know the nits it can hit) Does it have local dimming? Does it have a wide color gamut? I can find 0 info on this tv on both sharp or hisense website. I emailed support to ask for info, but who knows how long till i here a response. The reason i am asking all this is because amazon has them refurbished for $399 right now and i was planning on getting a TCL 5 series (dolby vision hdr, and wide color gamut), but that has roku, and I prefer the android tv on this.

Thanks for any help!
