Android TV doesn't support YouTube HDR.
Why? Because Google.
Yup the Android YouTube app doesn't support HDR yet but on my LG TV YouTube app will play HDR with no problem go figure. Just like YouTube TV app it played video at 60fps on my Roku but not on my shield it did get updated last. Why Google do you update your own products last.
I think the smartyoutube app might work.
