I use a shield myself and have no complaints. My parents keep asking me for something they can use to stream the major services and possibly iptv.
Im thinking a sheild is overkill since they will never play any games. Any other recommendations? Im in canada and would rather just order online if possible.
MiBox would be perfect for them. It's in the middle.
Shield or Firestick 4k. That will give them the least headaches. Obviously a Shield if you can swing it.
I'm not really sure what's available in Canada, but the Ematic Jetstream that Walmart sells in the US has gotten really good reviews. If you want something basic that runs Android TV, that's the choice I'd go with.
Fire TV Stick 4K simply because it has the best Wireless remote control in the business. Better App support as well vs Android TV.
Kodi can easily be Sideloaded and you might notice picture output quality is better vs the Shield.
