so I got a situation: I want to convert old svhs videos to digital video files. So, as my old recorder works fine with my Sony Bravia, I was asking myself if there is a way to just record the footage on an usb device as I am watching it.
Does anyone have suggestions?

USB Capture devices are pretty cheap these days, you'll have to connect it to your PC first to capture/transfer the SVHS tape to MPEG2 or MPEG4. Once the capture is done, copy to USB Flash drive and play back via VLC or Kodi in Android.
