Web Browser for Mi Box S? Also, suggest other apps I may be missing out on, please.

Hello. I used to have a Logitech Revue way back in the day, and it was pretty good. I've been out of the loop for a while on the Android TV stuff.

Anyway, I bought a Mi Box from Walmart for $40, and I'm sort of surprised that it doesn't have a web browser installed by default.

I logged into the play store on my phone and searched for browsers that I may be able to install to the Mix Box, but it looks like that loophole has been eliminated.

What's the best browser, (would prefer Chrome), and best way to Sideload?

Any tips for getting the XDA labs "store" installed and working? Thanks in advance.

I have the Mibox3 and I sideloaded chrome but i would say its difficult enough to navigate with the controller that its not worth it. Instead I use Puffin TV browser which is available in the store and gives you a mouse pointer with the remote and you can forward URLs to it from your phone for easy bookmarking.

Side note: for 40 bucks its worth it for a tech savvy person, but the Mibox can be buggy and frustrating as hell and gets little to no support from Xaiomi. Its a shame the shield is so much more. Would love a Google Pixel TV or something of the sort for around $99. Beef it up and make an Apple TV competitor for $150. The Android media center/hub space is limited.

Install Xplore App and then download the alternate App Store from Aptoide Website using a PC or webrowser.

Install the Aptoide .apk from a USB stick using XPlore.

Buy something like a MINIX A2 lite Air Mouse Keyboard Wireless remote if you want to use a mouse on Android TV devices.

Swear because you no longer have enough USB ports, should have bought a Jetstream 4K Ultra HD, or buy a USB hub expander thingy.

Android TV is locked up pretty tight on cheap media players. Good luck trying to "hack" anything.
