My Mi Box 3 recently updated itself to the Oreo version, everything works fine, except when I start it after it's in sleep mode for 3+ hours. It keeps freezing and stuttering. Any help would be appreciated.

It's a known issue. You can try to change the CEC settings, but from my own personal experience a reboot is required and getting rid of the bug is next to impossible.
In fact, I just got a MiBox S since that apparently does not have this issue.
Odd, my lady leaves hers on with Kodi open 24/7 regardless how much I remind her not to & this has never been an issue IME..?
She has a 4-port USB hub connected to it with 128GB expanded storage, a 4TB portable media drive & 2.4Ghz air mouse remote connected to it, as well.
If it's not a glitch in the OS that requires resetting, it could possibly be some app not playing nice in the background & eating up resources?
