Stream from Ace Stream/Ace Player to Philips Smart TV (50PUS6753/12)

by Divney

Evening all. If you guys have any idea what I'm on about, or can even suggest a solution, if you could go for the big-picture version with minimal words, that would be great, as I feel I have melted most of my IQ points in pursuit of solving this what I thought would be straightforward task.

I watch Ace Stream links fairly regularly, usually on a PC connected to a TV via a HDMI cable. However, that particular computer essentially blew up over the weekend, so I was at somewhat of a loss. However, I had recently purchased the Philips Smart TV listed in the title, and have been able to stream direct from Youtube, so I thought to myself "how hard could it be?"

Firstly, I couldn't see any form of native support to stream (the TV is Miracast enabled) from within Ace Player, so I started to look for alternatives. The only one that I've been able to find so far was Soda Player, but after trying it out, I read about the data breaches within that program and all of a sudden didn't feel too keen using it (and to be honest, I still couldn't find a way to stream from within the player itself).

Is there a simple method for doing this? It feels like it should be fairly straight forward...
