Philips Android TV

Hello Guys,

I just bought me a Philips Android TV. The actual Model is 50PUS7303. I think the system is really nice, and there are a lot of options to do, apps to install or ways to modify.

I have two questions;

first of all. Did anyone install and has a watchable Sky Go App?

Second, what did you install on it? Are there some must-have apps or other nice stuff you got?

If there is a topic about one of my questions, I googled a lot, found for example a topic about Sky Go for Kodi.

I installed the nightly on my TV, and got the kodinerds repo also the kodi app for sky.

But I can not play any content, I can login and search for a movie, but the app closes. This I will question in the kodinerds forum as well.

I managed to get Now TV working on my Philips Android TV this weekend by downloading it via Apptoide so I would imagine you'd be able to do the same with Sky Go.

edit- it's a touch app though so you need to have a mouse connected to the TV to use it, I've got one of those wireless mini Sandroid keyboards.

I've Kodi 18 on my Shield with the Sky Go Plugin. My parents are using it weekly and it works fine so far. UI is not the best but it's fine.

Important that you use the Kodi 18 version due to DRM features.
